The Public Policy Center houses two major programs.
Spark M. Matsunaga Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution
A multi-disciplinary academic community of scholars, students, practitioners, and visitors, who, through teaching, research, service, and application, groom future leaders and professionals in applied peacemaking and conflict resolution. Undergraduate and Graduate degree options.
The Hawaiʻi Energy Policy Forum
A unique experiment in collaborative energy planning and policy making. It includes representatives from business, government, and the community. The intent is to incorporate many different perspectives and the broadest possible experience into the design of a flexible, forward-looking energy strategy.
